I hope that everyone had a productive and/or relaxing winter break. Now that we're well-rested, we'll be jumping right into business.
Our academic librarian, Brittney O'Neil, has invited us to join faculty from across disciplines in discussing their research in new media and digital scholarship, their personal research methods, and their strategies in working with digital sources and topics. The discussion aims to offer space to exchange information, tips, and tools and connect faculty and graduate students working on similar or related research projects at LSU.
This will take place on January, 28th, via Zoom, from 12-1 pm. If interested, you can register for the event at https://lsu.libcal.com/event/7427747.
In addition, our Professional Development Committee chair, Alex, will be sending a survey shortly to get feedback about general preferences regarding session subjects and times. Please keep an eye out for such.
Finally, I have updated the Workshop Archives section of the blog. This now includes a PDF file listing the primary sources that are available through Gale which may be useful for teaching and research purposes.
